Hey, it's Gui.
My name is Guilherme Simi. I am a communicator and educator working across different areas, such as design, photography, audiovisual production, social media content creation, strategic planning, and EdTech.
I began my career as a Community Manager at major advertising agencies such as ID\TBWA and AlmapBBDO, working with clients including Natura, Doritos, C&A, Pedigree, and Delícia. During those years, I specialised in copywriting, content creation, strategic planning, and social listening for brands’ online presence. I also had the opportunity to cover major events such as Lollapalooza and Rock in Rio, representing the brands I worked with.
At the same time, I was building my career as a social and editorial photographer. Since 2012, I have photographed concerts and events featuring artists such as Demi Lovato, Ney Matogrosso, Fafá de Belém, Liniker, Tulipa Ruiz, among others. This experience allowed me to travel to different Brazilian capitals and build partnerships with independent photography collectives, including the now-defunct Zebraa, in Rio de Janeiro.
After spending a year living in London to earn a certification from Cambridge Assessment, I moved to the island of Florianópolis, in the south of Brazil, in search of new opportunities. There, I began working as an instructional designer at an online English school. I was responsible for managing the pedagogical team and overseeing all stages of content production and strategic planning, including scripting, content creation, adaptation, and publication of educational materials (podcasts, interactive videos, interactive PDFs, and H5P activities) within the virtual learning environment.
In 2023, Simi Creative Studio was born — my own design and photography studio. This marked a new step in my professional journey, with an exclusive focus on graphic design, branding, art direction, and photography. Since launching the studio, I have worked with clients, from different fields, such as Ampliação (mental health clinic), Carolina Brum (artist), GreenTea (band), and Eduardo Pereira (psychologist and professor).
I hope you enjoy it!
